Breese Central posted their closest victory since October 4th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Triad Knights, sneaking past 2-1. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
Breese Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-22, 15-10.
Bailey Gebke paced Breese Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Gebke got some help from Austyn Benhoff and her 20 assists. Peyton Benhoff controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
