Recap: East Haven Yellowjackets vs. Branford Hornets
The East Haven Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 49-7 loss at the hands of Branford. East Haven has struggled against Branford recently, as their contest on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Akiel Lomotey went supernova for Branford, rushing for 223 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Lomotey was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Snider, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
East Haven has yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 2-8 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.8 points per game. As for Branford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
East Haven does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Branford also has no future games currently scheduled.
