Softball Recap: Grand Blanc Beats Dow for Their Third Straight Win

Grand Blanc proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Dow Chargers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered an 8-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Savannah Schultz, who gave up just four hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep Dow off the board.

On the hitting side, Grand Blanc's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kate Mitchell, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The win (which was Grand Blanc's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average this season. As for Dow, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Grand Blanc beat the Chargers by a score of 8-1 later that day.
