Soccer Game Preview: Battery Creek vs. Dixie

The Battery Creek Dolphins will take on the Dixie Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Battery Creek's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against North Charleston as they made off with a 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Battery Creek in their matchups with North Charleston: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Dixie put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Community Bible Church Christian Academy with a sharp 5-0 win. Given Dixie's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Community Bible Church Christian Academy are ranked 166th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dixie pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Battery Creek, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Battery Creek came up short against Dixie when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Dolphins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
