Volleyball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

Midland lost against Dwight last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Midland sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.

Anna McGlasson paced Midland's offense, picking up ten kills. McGlasson got some help from Ella Foster and her ten assists. Finally, McGlasson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Midland has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-8 record this season. As for Dwight, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-12.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Midland and Woodland will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Dwight, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Henry-Senachwine on the 14th.
