Softball Recap: Oasis Sharks vs. Port Charlotte Pirates
Oasis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Port Charlotte Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-6 last Friday.
Oasis saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyra Cavender, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Oasis' record is now 12-11. As for Port Charlotte, their record now sits at 7-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oasis will challenge Cape Coral at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seahawks' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Sharks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Port Charlotte, they will face off against Manatee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
