Soccer Recap: Gardner-Edgerton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gardner-Edgerton can now relate to. They lost 7-0 to the Blue Valley North Mustangs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Gardner-Edgerton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Blue Valley North are ranked second).

Gardner-Edgerton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Blue Valley North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

As of now, neither Gardner-Edgerton nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
