Joshua Williams leads a balanced attack to beat Easley

Recap: Westside Rams vs. Easley Green Wave

A well-balanced attack led the Westside Rams over the Easley Green Wave in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Westside came out on top against Easley by a score of 71-58. Given Westside's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Easley is ranked 141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Williams, who scored 19 points along with six steals. Williams has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Kmajay Jenkins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists.

Despite the loss, Easley saw an underclassman step up: Drey Jackson scored 18 points along with seven assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ethan Crews, who scored 17 points.

Westside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Easley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Westside will head out on the road to take on Berea at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Easley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Greenville at 7:30 p.m. Greenville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,125 points over their last 17 matchups.
