Volleyball Game Preview: Elgin Comets vs. Upper Scioto Valley Rams

The Elgin Comets will take on the Upper Scioto Valley Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Elgin's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Upper Scioto Valley has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Elgin barely beat Upper Sandusky the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets blew past the Rams 3-0 on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Upper Scioto Valley lost 3-0 to Temple Christian on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-18.

Upper Scioto Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Elgin, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Everything went Elgin's way against Upper Scioto Valley in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Elgin made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
