Football Game Preview: St. Cloud Bulldogs vs. Celebration Storm

St. Cloud is a perfect 3-0 against Celebration since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Storm at 7:00 p.m. St. Cloud's defense has only allowed nine points per game this season, so Celebration's offense will have their work cut out for them.

St. Cloud is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They snuck past Osceola with a 6-0 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Kowboys recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Celebration). They breezed past West Orange to the tune of 46-0 on Tuesday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Storm had established a 32-point advantage.

St. Cloud better keep an eye on Isabel Meadows. She was instrumental in Celebration's win, throwing for 227 yards and seven TDs while completing 77.8% of her passes, and also rushing for 31 yards. Their leading receiver Nayeli Rivera was Meadows' top target yet again, picking up 76 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Celebration's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. The heavy lifting was done by Ella Larosa and Mariann Houck, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Celebration pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for St. Cloud, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

St. Cloud beat Celebration 26-13 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Storm turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
