Basketball Recap: Jackson Drops Highest Score of Season Against Carol City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson). They blew past the Carol City Chiefs 46-21 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Generals have posted since January 8, 2024.

Jackson found their leader in freshman Mya Padilla, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Padilla has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amariss Santana, who posted six points.

Jackson was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Carol City lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trenia Baker, who had 13 points.

The win made it two in a row for Jackson and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for Carol City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Jackson has already played their next contest, a 38-36 loss against Edison on the 15th. As for Carol City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-10 defeat against Miami Beach on the 22nd.
