Baseball Game Preview: La Crescent Lancers vs. Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars

The La Crescent Lancers will square off against the Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (La Crescent has six straight victories, Jordan has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

La Crescent's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Rushford-Peterson hitters got past them. The Lancers came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 17-13 on Thursday.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Jordan and Delano, and Delano kept the tradition alive. The Hubmen / Jaguars took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Thursday.

La Crescent pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
