Basketball Game Preview: Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds vs. Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers

The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds will head out to face off against the Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Minnesota Valley Lutheran will come in with six straight victories.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-45, which was the final score in Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop's tilt against Lester Prairie on Friday. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Minnesota Valley Lutheran, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop strolled past Minnesota Valley Lutheran in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 49-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
