Basketball Game Preview: Windsor Locks Raiders vs. Thomaston Bears

The Windsor Locks Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Thomaston Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Windsor Locks is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.3 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Windsor Locks lost to Academy of Aerospace and Engineering on the road by a 70-55 margin.

Despite their defeat, Windsor Locks saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sincere Monroe, who went 10 of 21 en route to 28 points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Monroe's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Vion LaBoy, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Thomaston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 56-52 to Lakeview.

Windsor Locks has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Thomaston, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Windsor Locks couldn't quite finish off Thomaston in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 57-55. Can Windsor Locks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
