Volleyball Recap: Burney Takes a Loss

Burney's tournament run continued when they took on Williams on Saturday. The Raiders fell 2-0 to the Yellowjackets. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14.

Aimee Hampton paced Burney's offense, picking up eight kills. Hampton really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. Victoria Jimenez Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Burney now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Williams, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Burney will take on Hayfork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Williams, they will face off against East Nicolaus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
