Football Game Preview: East Chambers Buccaneers vs. Westwood Panthers + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in JD Zurby and Kavian Bryant are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The East Chambers Buccaneers will challenge the Westwood Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Chambers has given up an average of 25.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Chambers is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Orangefield two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Buccaneers took a blow against the Bobcats, falling 56-28. The Buccaneers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Westwood on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Huntington out of the water with a 49-12 final score. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

East Chambers suffered a grim 35-14 defeat to Westwood in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bryant, who rushed for 133 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries, and also threw for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes.
