Basketball Recap: Algonac Takes a Loss

Algonac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the Imlay City Spartans, falling 58-25. While losing is never fun, the Muskrats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while the Spartans are ranked 121st).

Algonac's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Imlay City, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

While Algonac had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
