Baseball Recap: American Leadership Academy-Johnston Comes Up Short

American Leadership Academy-Johnston fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Oxford Prep on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 5-4.

Robert Boswell was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston dropped their record down to 12-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Oxford Prep, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy-Johnston will take on Goldsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oxford Prep, they will challenge Wake Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
