Volleyball Recap: Tokay Takes a Loss

Tokay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weston Ranch Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Tokay started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-17, 15-11.

When it comes to explaining why Tokay lost, don't look at Ethan Presley Vang. Despite the final result, he had 17 digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Rohan Bhakta, who had ten digs and one assist.

Tokay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Weston Ranch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.

Tokay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Weston Ranch, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Franklin on the 24th.
