Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Abbott walked away with it. They never let Three Way get on the board and left with a 23-0 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Abby Neill made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Abbott let Gabbie Salazar and Maddie Svacina run wild. Salazar went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs, while Svacina went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs Svacina has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Wise, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Abbott was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Abbott, bringing their record up to 12-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Three Way, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Abbott will have a chance to go back-to-back against Three Way: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
