Meanwhile, Classical Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They blew past Genesis Prep 70-38 at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Classical Prep as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Andrew Ramirez and Kalan Schroder were among the main playmakers for Classical Prep as the former scored 22 points along with two steals and the latter scored 23 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that Schroder scored 15 or more points. Brendan Zimmerman was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Classical Prep, their win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-13.
Everything came up roses for Zephyrhills Christian Academy against the Lions when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 85-34 win.
