Softball Recap: San Dimas Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for San Dimas, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Colony Titans with a sharp 17-5 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Isabella Martinez looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Tiffany Villegas was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Graciela Alt-Ambriz was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

The victory snapped San Dimas' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-9-1 record. As for Colony, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. San Dimas will face off against rival Alta Loma at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Colony is set to challenge their familiar foe Los Altos at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
