Softball Game Preview: Cobden Appleknockers vs. Egyptian Pharaohs

Cobden is on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Egyptian a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Cobden Appleknockers will be playing at home against the Egyptian Pharaohs at 4:30 p.m. Cobden has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cobden lost 17-6 to Century on Tuesday.

Alivia Kilpatrick was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Keela Kaszubski, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Egyptian played against Dongola on Tuesday and lost via forfeit.

Egyptian's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cobden, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Cobden might still be hurting after the 20-5 defeat they got from Egyptian when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Appleknockers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
