Soccer Recap: Upson-Lee Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Upson-Lee can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Long County Blue Tide on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Upson-Lee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Long County are ranked 99th).

This is the second loss in a row for Upson-Lee and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Long County, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Upson-Lee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Long County, they will square off against Sandy Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sandy Creek will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Long County surely won't give up without a fight.
