The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sheridan, who defeated 122nd ranked Ridge View Academy, 18-14.
Kent Denver extended the longest winning streak in 2A Colorado this week by beating Denver West, 41-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Kent Denver's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joey Matarazzo threw for 65 and 1 touchdown and Darweesh Zmily had 46 yards receiving. On the ground Jaden Franklin contributed 139 yards. Trevon Hamlet helped Kent Denver's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 31 yards.
Franklin was a passing and rushing force as Scott Yates' team beat the Cowboys.
Alejandro Garcia was a key player and the best on defense this week as Bennett defeated Manual. He grabbed 2 sacks.
Zmily was the best wideout in the league this week as the Sun Devils beat Denver West. Zmily racked up 1 reception for 46 yards. Hamlet helped Kent Denver's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 31 yards.
Kent Denver's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Sun Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matarazzo has thrown for 454 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Anders Soderberg has 8 catches for 178 yards.
Kent Denver's Franklin needs only 57 yards against the Rams next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Franklin has rushed for 943 yards on 100 carries so far this year.
