The Union Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Washington Bluejays at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union will be strutting in after a victory while Washington will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Union was able to grind out a solid win over Warrenton, taking the game 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Troy-Buchanan, falling 16-3.

Colton Carrier was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Henry Vedder also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Even though they lost, Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Union's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
