Softball Recap: Hooks Hornets vs. Daingerfield Tigers
It's playoff time, and Hooks had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Daingerfield Tigers on Friday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Hooks got a great performance from Mollie Guantt as she pitched six innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Madison Lewis and Zoe Herring did most of the damage at the plate: Lewis went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one triple, and one stolen base, while Herring got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Herring a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Castle, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Hooks' record now sits at 23-6. As for Daingerfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-18.
As of now, neither Hooks nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
