Preview: Shore Regional vs. Liberty
Shore Regional will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Liberty at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
Shore Regional's and Mater Dei's contest last Saturday was up for grabs at halftime, but Shore Regional were thoroughly outmatched in the second half. Shore Regional have to be aching after a bruising 8-36 defeat to Mater Dei. Shore Regional got a solid performance out of senior Jack Mccrae, who rushed for 120 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Liberty, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They blew past Matawan Regional 21-0. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Liberty had established a 21-0 advantage.
Liberty's win lifted them to 1-2 while Shore Regional's loss dropped them down to 1-2. We'll find out if Liberty can add another positive mark to their record or if Shore Regional can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Liberty's step.
