Softball Recap: Whiteoak Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Whiteoak challenged Clay on Saturday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Saturday.

Whiteoak saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elly McMullen, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Whiteoak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Clay, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Whiteoak will challenge Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clay, they will square off against East at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
