Gadsden City waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They strolled past the Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 51-32. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Warriors are ranked 183rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gadsden City pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gadsden City will square off against Pell City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they will take on Section at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Section knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Whitesburg Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
