Baseball Game Preview: Dewar Dragons vs. Oktaha Tigers

The Dewar Dragons will face off against the Oktaha Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Dewar's favor as the squad sits on 30 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Oktaha has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Monday, Dewar got the win against Kiowa by a conclusive 7-1. Considering the Dragons have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

S. Yaeger made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, Dewar let AIDEN TOMLINSON and L. Hankins run wild. TOMLINSON scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Hankins got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. Those three runs gave TOMLINSON a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of SKELLY TAYLOR, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Oktaha came up short against Choctaw on Saturday, falling 12-4.

Oktaha's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Dewar, their win bumped their record up to 14-0.
