Soccer Game Preview: Keller Central vs. Southlake Carroll

Keller Central is 1-8-1 against Southlake Carroll since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Keller Central Chargers will host the Southlake Carroll Dragons at 7:30 p.m.

Friday just wasn't the day for Keller Central's offense. They fell just short of Bell by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 173rd).

Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Blue Raiders onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Keller Central now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Southlake Carroll, their win bumped their record up to 8-2-2.

Keller Central might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Southlake Carroll when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Keller Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
