Volleyball Recap: Austin Prep Comes Up Short

Austin Prep lost against Buckingham Browne & Nichols back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since September 6th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-7, 25-12.

Despite the defeat, Austin Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abbie Quill had 11 digs.

Austin Prep now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Buckingham Browne & Nichols, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin Prep will challenge Cushing Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buckingham Browne & Nichols, they will face off against Noble & Greenough at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
