Basketball Recap: Lawrence Comes Up Short

Lawrence was the 74-56 winner over Brockton when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lawrence Lancers fell 66-57 to the Brockton Boxers on Friday.

Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Brockton, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11.

Lawrence and Brockton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. Lawrence will face off against Tewksbury Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 125 places (160 vs. 35). Similarly, Brockton (ranked 218th) will meet Durfee (ranked 72nd) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
