Baseball Recap: First Assembly Christian Comes Up Short

First Assembly Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-2 to the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lynx this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Monday.

Connor Palmer was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since March 3rd.

First Assembly Christian now has a losing record of 7-8-1. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Assembly Christian will face off against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so First Assembly Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they will be playing at home against Munford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
