Volleyball Recap: New Holstein Huskies vs. Port Washington Pirates

New Holstein was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Port Washington Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Reese Kraus paced New Holstein's offense, picking up three kills. Kraus got some help from Addison Haensgen and her four assists.

Among those leading the charge was Sierra Hoeft, who had ten assists and seven aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven matches. Emersyn Loose was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

New Holstein's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Port Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season.
