Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Herscher). They claimed a resounding 69-33 victory over the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Herscher got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Austin Buckley out in front who posted 16 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Buckley a new career-high. Payten Young was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Herscher's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-15. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.

Herscher will face off against Grace Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 60-53 victory against Donovan on the 30th.
