Meanwhile, Weber managed to keep up with Davis until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Weber lost 3-0 to Davis. The loss was Weber's first of the season.

Syracuse's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Weber, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Syracuse suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Weber when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Syracuse avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
