Football Recap: Fort Wayne Wayne Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Wayne extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They took a blow against the Fort Wayne South Side Archers, falling 46-0. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Archers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Jayce White threw for 76 yards on 11 of 22 attempts. Tyree Eldridge was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Kevon Morris rushed for 32 yards.

Fort Wayne South Side's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Chris Mhoon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 307 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 124.4 rushing yards per game.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Wayne will take on Fort Wayne North Side at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Wayne South Side, they will face off against Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 992 yards in their previous games.
