Softball Game Preview: Fort LeBoeuf Bison vs. Warren Dragons

The Fort LeBoeuf Bison will face off against the Warren Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort LeBoeuf is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Fort LeBoeuf came out on top against Erie on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Bison took their matchup against the Royals 8-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Fort LeBoeuf got a massive performance out of Ibree Rodgers, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Rodgers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paige Shields, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Warren fell victim to Harbor Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 14-0 to the Huskies. The Dragons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Warren's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Fort LeBoeuf, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Everything went Fort LeBoeuf's way against Warren when the teams last played back in April, as Fort LeBoeuf made off with a 14-0 win. Do the Bison have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
