McMullen County had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came out on top against the Falls City Beavers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cowboys, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

McMullen County's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Falls City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

McMullen County and Falls City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Cowboys (ranked 246th) will meet Floresville (ranked 516th) at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
