Basketball Recap: Marlboro Academy Takes a Loss

Marlboro Academy suffered their closest loss since December 6, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Dillon Christian Warriors by a score of 45-42. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 62-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Jordan Blackmon had an outrageously good game for Dillon Christian as he dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Blackmon is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was McKinnon Sampson, who posted ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Marlboro Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Dillon Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
