Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson scored first but ultimately less than Monroe Area in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Purple Hurricanes by a score of 5-4. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Purple Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Jefferson now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Monroe Area, their record now sits at 9-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will challenge East Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Monroe Area, they will square off against Oconee County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
