The DSST: Montview Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Lancers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. DSST: Montview has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

DSST: Montview is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Manual just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 19-9 to the Thunderbolts.

Meanwhile, Lincoln posted their closest win since April 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Kennedy 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Commanders: they've now won five in a row.

Gio Castro spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jose Bustos was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

DSST: Montview's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
