Volleyball Recap: East Gaston Starts off Right with Win over Forestview + How To Watch

East Gaston had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Forestview Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Jaguars on their court since August 16, 2018.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant East Gaston was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.

Morgan Styles was nothing short of spectacular: she had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

After both having extra time off, East Gaston and Highland Tech will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Forestview, they are taking a road trip to square off against Stuart W. Cramer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
