Volleyball Recap: Pershing County Comes Up Short

Pershing County was the 3-1 winner over Yerington when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Wednesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 25-16.

Khloe Montes paced Pershing County's offense, picking up seven kills. Montes got some help from Jaymie George and her 13 assists. George was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Pershing County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Yerington, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Coincidentally, Pershing County and Yerington will both be playing Silver Stage the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Nighthawks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
