Airport is 9-1 against Brookland-Cayce since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Airport and five for Brookland-Cayce.

Things were looking good for Airport after they put the first runs on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 5-2 to Gilbert.

Avery Ingram made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Meanwhile, Brookland-Cayce fell victim to Gray Collegiate Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the War Eagles.

Brookland-Cayce's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Airport, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Airport took their victory against Brookland-Cayce in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
