Football Recap: Saginaw Skates Past Polytechnic with Ease + How To Watch

Saginaw got themselves on the board against Polytechnic on Friday, but Polytechnic never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Parrots 62-0. The Rough Riders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Parrots, too.

Saginaw's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Irvin led the charge by rushing for 83 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Joshua Greek was another key signal caller, throwing for 153 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Another reason for the win was Saginaw's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Polytechnic's QB won't forget Isaac Bukasa anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Najae Nicholson was another major factor on D, forcing two fumbles and making ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Saginaw now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Polytechnic, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Saginaw and Polytechnic will both be playing Wyatt the next time they take the field. The Parrots will host the Chaparrals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rough Riders will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 27th.
