Baseball Recap: Marblehead's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Marblehead's offense. They fell just short of the Beverly Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Magicians were not able to get on the board.

Marblehead's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Beverly, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Marblehead will challenge Saugus at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Magicians 3.7, the Sachems 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Beverly, they will square off against Gloucester at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
