Basketball Recap: Cordova Comes Up Short

Cordova was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost to the Kennedy Cougars on the road by a 70-53 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-53 on January 8th.

Leading Kennedy to victory were Clif Chandler-Manning and Aharon Young. Chandler-Manning posted 19 points, while Young put up 15 points. Noah Hayes II was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cordova's record now sits at 1-17. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Cordova will head out on the road to square off against McClatchy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kennedy, they will square off against Grant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kennedy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
